Description

This tall shrub or small tree is fast growing, hardy and drought tolerant.  It produces showy clusters of white flowers that have an aroma which you can smell from very far away.  Features shiny dark green leaves throughout the summer and reddish-black fruits by early autumn.  Its edible fruits are prized for making tart jellies and wine.  Makes for a great species to mix into hedgerows and is an excellent for wildlife.
